Boston Greenfest 2012
During the weekend of August 16th thru August 19th, Isaacs Moving and Storage provided ,at no charge, all of the logistics for the Annual Boston Greenfest 2012. For the 5th consecutive year Isaacs movers handled the setup and breakdown of hundreds of tables and chairs along with soundstages and even the exhibitors tents for the entire event which hosted this year over 50,000 visitors. The Boston Greenfest has become region’s largest multicultural environmental festival and is held every year on the Boston City Plaza. Boston GreenFest celebrates the many ways people can create a better world by greening their lives and their communities. Some of this year’s Greenfest sponsors joining Isaac’s Moving and Storage and their “Better Planet” campaign were Ford Motor Company, Disney Channel, Best Buy and the Hard Rock Cafe.
The most notable exhibitor in this year’s Boston Greenfest was the Fireseeds Art Group who partnered with Isaacs to present “Moby Disc”, a 23 foot fish designed and built by a group of 7 local artists using among other discarded materials, 8000 CD’s. Isaacs assumed the task of delivering this giant art piece to the festival, where it quickly became the center of attention for all. Fireseeds and Isaacs are presently developing plans to bring “Moby Disc” to schools all over Massachusetts in an effort to help better educate children about the green movement .
Isaacs “Better Planet” initiative and the “Foundation for a Green Future”, the founders of the Boston Greenfest are planning already for next years Greenfest Event and are hoping to attract a record setting number of visitors again in 2013. Hopefully, over 100,000 people will be there!
